Well, at one stage I had 3 road going Unos, and a parts car.
Now I am down to one remaining 1984 Uno 70s.
Stupidly I am selling the "best one", and keeping my original, complete with the rust around the sunroof!
It came down to having to get rid of some cars,
6 road going cars, 4 Saabs and 2 Unos was just a bit much.
I bought the original 84 70s quite a long time ago, it now has 260,000km, and mechanically is great.
All the others were bought for parts, but in my view were too good to scrap, so I did some tidy up work on them and used them.
I sold a 60s to a friend for NZ$295.00 after I had replaced the cam seal and fan belt, I bought it for $NZ200.00.
So now the 70s I am selling for $1250.00 if the guy takes it.
It is on Trademe for 1475 ono.
I bought it for $450.00, new clutch, new brake master cylinder, new front rotors and pads, new rear shocks, replaced electric window winder, repaired the central locking to get it working, fitted genuine Fiat wheel trims, replaced tyres, from a parts car I got, repaired and repainted rf guard, painted bonnet and lf guard to match. All in all, I think I am not losing money, but not making any. Hope the new owner likes Unos.
However this one burns some oil at start up, think the valve stem seals must be needing replaced. If it doesn't sell I might fix them, without taking the hed off.
SO I Am not gone for here yet!~!
I still have my trusty original, and will keep on the look out for another parts car that has good doors. Each car I have sold has better doors than the one I am keeping.
