Technical 1968 850 spider needs help

so I'm getting ready to put this car back on the road. Problem 1 took the top apart 30 years ago and can't remember how the cables were fitted. Have a new top 30 years old and in perfect shape, but it has strings along the sides, I think to pull the cables thru but the back of the string comes out above the side window not inward towards the screw mount on the bow? Any pics of a complete top would help. Next the dash was Jimmy wired for fog lamps so any pics of the gauge cluster would help. Also I need a twist on gas cap, not the threaded style. Thanks
