Good morning, question. I have a 1968 Fiat 850 battery is not holding a charge. Does anyone know what parts I need to rebuild the generator if that is the problem? and where I could get the parts. Could it be a different problem besides the generator?

It can just be brushes in the dynamo or even the contacts needing cleaning and regaping in the regulator box.
There is a simple test (details are on the internet to verify), but from memory you disconnect the field and D wires from the dynamo and put put power directly to the two dynamo wires with no fan belt on, so no load and it should spin up like an electric motor, this proves the brushes and windings of the dynamo.
There are other tests using meters Volts and Amps etc.

If the battery is not holding charge I’d start with testing the battery and then checking for any current drain
