any help much apprecicated

Yes, it will invalidate the warranty if you've got the 3 year warranty on it.

If something happens to the suspension, steering etc they can't do anything about it if you've non-standard huge wheels on it.

I'm in the Rep of Ireland and am leaving my car into the local Fiat dealer this morning. They are replacing the stearing rack and a front wheel bearing. The work is being done under warrenty and I've had 17's on the car from the start. Being a regular reader of this forum it seems to me that the UK dealers are a lot harder to deal with then their Irish counterparts. I have only a years warrenty on the car and it is nearly up, but due to the few problems I've had with the car they have given me another year. I would give my dealer 9/10...But if they followed the warrenty to the letter I'd be ****ed...

Hey Gary, what dealer are you dealing with ?
I've dealt with Donohoes in Dublin after attempting to deal with HB Dennis, they weren't interested in selling me a car at all, Donohoes have been good so far though.

The garage is Millenium Autos in Galway, it's a Bravo GT that I got new from the garage last April. Hope this helps.........

17's no prob

just swap to the original wheels every service / warrenty job , may be a hastle but will stop the dealer bs'ing you. ;}

Re: Re: 17's no prob

When I took delivery of my Marea the fiat dealership even put on the new 17's for me and I had them delivered to the dealership. However if you go by the book then unfortunately they are within there rights to invalidate your waranty and don't forget Fiat aren't making too much money at the moment.
Sounds like you may be dealing with the chief d#ckhead at the garage or do as someone has already said just swap them when you go there.
