Technical 16valvole stalling!!

Hi - i've got a strange running issue with my sedicivalvole. when it's playing up it will fire up fine, settle into its idle, and will rev normally to begin with. The problem occurs after about 5 - 10 minutes - where when i give it any throttle it will splutter - accompanied by some pops and bangs - like it is flooding, gain no revs, and eventually stall. then it won't start again.

it's an intermittant problem, been investigated a few times but - of course - it never plays up when i take it into the garage! nothing shows up on the rather basic diagnostics port, nothing obvious needs replacing. it's had two sets of new HT leads which haven't solved the problem.

has anyone else experienced this!?

Water temperature sensor? Mixture is not leaning off as the engine warms up. Hence, the flooding like symptoms.

Hi Harrypp. thanks a lot for the reply. i'm not familiar with that sensor, so i'll have to take a look in the Haynes guide!
