Hi all, Newbie Fiat owner here 2004jbrown

I'm currently in the process of repairing a damaged 1.9 Multijet Sporting and before it's back on the road I want to start doing some simple/subtle mods to make the Punto stand out when its back on the road.

Firstly looking to order some lowering springs to drop the car about 35-40mm and I've seen that Eibach Sportline are a very popular choice on this forum.

I'm not looking to spend a fortune on all my mods so would anyone recommend any other lowering springs?

I'm happy to buy the Eibach but just want to know if anyone else has experience with the other brands out there.

Look forward to hearing what you all have to say.

 welcome to FF..

Not having a GP I don't have much experience with them but I helped stick some eibach springs on RuSZ GP the other week, was pretty painless and a good result. My advice is have a search around for other kits - most reputable companies make decent springs, the only exception i can think of off the top of my head is PI springs, endlessly reading about how they have snapped on all sorts of applications so avoid them.

Hi Mate welcome to FF

I have Eibach Sportline lowering springs and they are brilliant they can be back braking if the roads are really really really bad but on normal roads they are as comfortably as the standard springs but alot more sporty feeling an unregretable mod in my oppinion :D

Jordan.

All right there m8 iam doing the same but I've went for the prosport coilovers should have them on within the next couple of weeks

Looking forward to seeing the results of the Prosport coilovers on your motor webby1981. Be sure to put some pics up.

Thanks so far for the tips guys. I've seen that many GP owners are opting for the Eibach springs so they seem a safe bet. I have seen that there are some other cheaper alternatives but don't fancy dealing with a snapped spring - so PI brand is most likely out the picture.

I work just down the road from Venom Motorsport and have just found quite a few mods for the Grande Punto on their website.

Has anyone had experience with Spax springs for the GP?

FK coilovers going for £210 on Venom motorsport, anybody got them fitted to GP?
