Technical 1.6 idles up to 2000 rpm then down to 100 and stalls any ideas

1.6 idles up to 2000 rpm then down to 100 and stalls any ideas my local garage says i need a new coil on cylinder 2 and an injector on cylinder 1

could anything else cause this ??

Well the first thing to do would be to do the coil and Injector. I presume the garage told you this after running Diagnostics. If that doesnt fix your problem then it could be the Lambda sensor gone which doesnt always show up on the Fault list.

Sounds like a throttle body issue to me. Have a Search as there are a large number of threads on that topic
