First of all hello to everyone, My 1.3 90bhp multijet was left at the airport for two weeks and when i returned the engine light came on and i could drive it but the turbo did not kick in at all, the garage checked it and said the turbo needed replacing which they did but still no power and the light is still on, they then changed the turbo sensor and again no luck, its been three weeks now and still no idea what's wrong if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Hi there and WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!

Do you know what fault codes the garage are getting when reading the ECU? Its VERY unlikely that the turbo would have died whilst it was sitting still at the airport!!

Was the car making a whistling noise when accelerating before you left it at the airport?

Very common failure on the 1.3 multijet is MAP sensor failure, but this is also sometimes refered to as "turbo sensor" so im ASSUMING they have changed that.

Find out the fault codes and post them back and we will be able to help more.

It was whistling as it kicked in and had been for a while, i picked it up from the car park and drove it a mile and the light came on they have changed the sensor with no luck sorry the paperwork is in the car in the garage so not sure of the codes.

The whistling sounds like the classic turbo failure that the 1.3 suffers from. Ive even had it on my own 1.3 multijet (n). However once the turbo is replaced, it shoudl fix the problem.

Unfortunately, theres LOTS of things that could be causing the EML and the car to be in "limp" mode, so without the codes, any suggestions would simply be guesses.
