After my break down yesterday (blown coil/ecu fuse!) it now revs between 1500 and 2500 up and down all the time when stationery. Drives ok but the revving is annoying. Have tried resetting ecu but no change. Have checked the haynes manual and it says it could be the idle actuator, also searched the forum and found people have had similar problems with mareas which was the throttle potentiometer.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it likely to cause damage if I drive it or blow a fuse again as I have a exam tommorrow?
Also, in a previous post someone recommended cleaning the valve but as useful as the haynes manual is it doesn't actually show where it is under the bonnet - just says unplug it, unscrew and remove (refit is a reversal of removal - as usual). Does anyone know?
Think im going to be on the bus tomorrow
Thanks,
Stephen
