1.2 or 1.4 bravo?? please help

just wondering if some body cud help me

I'm just about to buy a bravo thinking logically a thouight ad buy a 1.4 cos then its a bigger engine then i can build on it from there.
But from what av heard the 1.4 is a ded ender and not much can be done to it, is this true???
Wud a be better buying a 1.2 and doing that up??

if some one could please help me save sum pennys

Stick with the 1.2, its quicker (16v), more economical, and an all round better machine...

1.2 its a far better engine! - ask ian (geforce) hes been through just about every bravo available! 1.2 is your best bet!

It wasn't the case that the 1.4 was a dead ender BUT kent and piper no-longer list cams for it. I know of a 1.4 that puts out about the same as a 1.6.

Get the 1.2, not as ultimately tuneable but a much better engine.

If you don't look after ANY car it becomes unreliable.

3.5 years of owning a bravo and apart from normal servicing its only been off the road for 3 days due to faults.

1.2 vs 1.4

i have a 1.2 and know someone with a1.4 both of us agree that the 1.2 is a much better car deff quicker of the mark and going up hills. ive had over 100mph out of my 1.2 and thats standard.

Yep, the 1.2 is by far the best Bravo (and newest) I've ever owned. Regardless of the Gearbox problem I've got, but all cars have their fair share of problems so I'm not too bothered.
The 1.2 is seriously a dream to drive, and doesn't half suprise a few Golf GTi's

Justin: I've had 127mph (on speedo) out of my 1.2 16V Bravo. Mods are de-cat exhaust and custom air intake pipe. Astonishing 0_o!
