Hey

There's a tapping noise coming from my engine. It's a 1.2 on 95k. I had the cambelt done last april. I did a search and someone said to change the oil. I think it had new oil when I bought it in April at 88k though. Is it due a change?

The sound gets faster as the revs build up.

Any ideas?

Thanks

its most definatly due an oil change and a small service air filter, oil & oil filter.

(possibly spark plugs, check the wiper blades and the tyres, check all the lights, check the coolant levels and anti freeze)

How much am I looking at paying for:

oil change inc filter
spark plugs changed
fuel filter changed
coolant changed

I can do the air filter myself :p

air filter, plugs, ht leads were done in june. We couldnt get one of the plugs out though.

Wiper blades and lights are fine. They've been changed over the time I've had it. I need new front tyres soon, but they are getting done next week anyway.

My drivers side wheel scrubs on full lock to the right, but passenger side doesnt on full lock to the left. Same tyre sizes. I'll get the shocks looked at while I'm there.

Marea, why settle for less

hmmm if you left one plug in i would be getting that out asap and probally swaping them all again.

if you were to diy you could do that for approx 60 quid from a garage approx 150-170.

What these guys said basically.

Either an oil change or it needs oil because it's running dry. Check your levels. If the level is good, then just get a change done. Oil and filter change is cheap as chips, even cheaper if you do it yourself. If the dipstick is dry, get it topped up a.s.a.p.

As the aboveguys said - oil :)

The 1.2's need to be on the max all the time (not over)

As for future oil changes - every 6 months my friend you should be doing them. Look after your engine and she will carry on forever. Forget these little things and they will cost you big time in the future.
