Changed the belt on a 1.2 16v punto (same engine obviously) on saturday and these tools aren't needed! The cams are cog driven with only one sprocket which is spring loaded. The easiest way to do this change is to remove all the plugs and crank the engine over on the crank using a spanner until it feels free and easy (there is NO timing marks!!!) mark up the old belt against a sprocket and the engine so theres 3 markings on both the crank pulley and the camshaft pulley. Flip the belt off and mark up the markings against the new belt. (mark one on a tooth and one in a recess to avoid getting it back to front). Flip the belt back on and give it a few turns to ensure its ok, using a spanner!
If changing the tensioner, you dont need to use circlip pliers to tension it, just use a large screw driver as a lever without being too brutal. When you tighten the nut on the tensioner, someone needs to align the markings on the tensioner while someone tightens it.
