hello,
fiat grande punto 2011
motor 8v. 250k kilometer
the head gasket was blown, so, i open it all and send the head to turnery,
they open all and clean, and replace the Valve stem seal,
and the Oil Seal in the camshaft.
so i got some question on the turnery work:
1. they close the camshaft without a torque wrench, is it ok?
2. they made a scratch after they straightened the head.
here:

and the second help i need is that in the new gasket kit i bought there is some rubber band i dont know where it belong,
1 pocket been there 4 gasket (red) of the intake, and with them 3 gasket.
i don't know where i need to replace them? (only the 3 unrecognized )

1. By "close the camshaft" do you mean the journal caps? If so it'll probably be OK although I like to tighten all major component parts with a torque wrench/angle gauge. The sprocket bolt I would always torque/angle tighten because, having no key, if it slips it'll be goodbye engine.

2. I'm having a closer look at your video

3. Can't immediately help with these.

4. These look like the oil seals which fit into the cam cover to seal against the top of the cam journals. 0ne each for the 3 cam journals and one for the VVT oil feed. If you have the earlier engine without VVT I don't think you need that one? But, of course, you will need the other 3. Annoyingly many after market cam cover gasket kits don't include these little seals, mine didn't when I did Becky's timing belt. I asked our local Fiat independent garage who said they put the cover back without disturbing the old seals if no new ones are included and they've never known it to be a problem. So I did this and so far it's all OK. In future I would always make a point of buying a kit which included them though.

OK I looked a bit more closely at that "scratch". If it had been only running in from the edge of the head (top of picture) to the head stud hole (which is stepped to accept the dowel) I think you would have got away with it but, unfortunately it then runs on from the other side of the head stud hole to one of the water jacket holes (which allows water to circulate between the head and block). Personally I would not be very happy to live with that.
