General Stilo vs 147

There is a place near me imports Alfa's from Ireland, the savings are pretty impressive, I was looking at getting a 1.6 Twin Spark Tourismo for 11k, with 17's, CD player and met paint.

The thing which stopped me was insurance :(

I could get a price for a JTD there if your interrested Savi?

Yes, I wouldn't mind James.

The insurance is not that bad, I pay £217 fully comp protected no claims on the Stilo, I phoned them and it's £371 for the same terms on a brand new 147 JTD!

Cheap, cheap!

I need to shop around - just got renewal through on Abarth, and including all the extras, about £600.

It can't be my age or profession - I think it is loaded due to the spouse being on there, together with fact we need class 2 business use on both cars [and maybe the 9 points don't help either, oops :)]

Cheers James!

No Stu, it's becuase the Abarth is a high insurance group. My Mrs is on both of those prices I mentioned.

The same company quoted us £596 for the Abarth, I use www.confused.com and Elephant came out as the cheapest, give them a try!
Cheers for that TC, your £596 is comparable. I know in the past, class 2 can be a pain, Norwich Union quotes really used to load it because of that. I will try it out, renewal not due until end of month so will have plenty of time to sort it out!?!

Stu you on 9 points??? I wouldn't go enjoying that Abarth too much if I were you
Lol, 3 for me, 6 for the Mrs [see some well old post about how she got those ;)], and all over 3 years old for totting up purposes - just 5 years for insurance disclosures and loading.
