Hi all, a few months ago my nav stopped working (it didn't get a signal from the satelite) and so i started fidling around to see if i could fix it. During the fidling i accesed the hidden menu (press setup once, connect 4 times and then enter and an extra option called service willa appear). In this menu i activated the "nav block for holland" option. Though this didn't fix it it eventually started working again and i can now no longer input info into the navigator while car is in movement. I cannot find an option to turn it off and i was hoping somebody would know a way of resetting the nav (i hav allready tried disconnecting the battery).

I took it to it's 40.000km service yesterday and told them about the problem (obviously didn't tell them i got into a secret menu). The idiots say it's a normal function in my car and it's in all new Stilo's (obviously i told them that was rubbinsh 'cause i've used the nav while moving):bang: . So can anybody tell me how to fix this. Can everybody with Stilo's bought in 2005 and 2006 confirm that they can use their nav in movement?????

Thanks(y)

Come on guys, somebody must be able to tell me something; the techies surely must know something about this and there must be people on here with new Stilos who have got sat nav....

Give me a hand guys(y)

Hey

Turn the unit on, press the Setup button 4 times within 3 seconds, that should perform a manual reset on the unit.

Let me know if that helps!

I've tied that and it doen't help, i think that's just an equivalent to turning tha car off and then on again. I'm thinking of performing an upgrade (well it wouldn't be an upgrade because i'd be going from 9.8 to 9.8) but still, see if i can get it back tah way.... what do you think????

For all those who have done upgrades, do you loose all the numbers in the nav directory??? That would probably indicate thet a full system reset has occured...?

Thanx

As long as it allows same version reflashing, then go for it. Obviously rewriting its OS should return it to how it was before.

Not having CN+ I can't comment on "numbers in the nav directory", sorry.

Hey hey, good news; after reintsaling the 9.8 version software the problem has disapeared, the nav block for holland is once more deactivated and i can now input data into the nav while in movement!!!!
For those who ever have the temptation of activating the nav block for holland; DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the help, if it weren't for you guys i wouldn't have even had access to the 9.8 upgrade of the info of how to do the upgrade so (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) (y) :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :D :D
