Just a guess, but if you lift it, you should find the Chassis Number in there. I think that's what you're on about, they are normally near the drivers chair though, I'll check on mine and let you know!

Yeap twincamms is right its the Chassis Number. If you want to hide a spare key put it between the back seats;)

The chassis number is located on various parts of the car. This is important, and a legal requirement. So that when you buy the car they should all match up and look in the correct condition. After all it could be a cut & shut if the chassis numbers are different.

Funny, two days ago I noticed it too but I couldn't open it. Or actually I didn't want to use force so it wouldn't break.
I hoped the Turbo Boost-button would be hidden there :p

Look i work in IT so i'm renound for not reading manuals, but even i read the manual that came with my car.... why does no one bother?

You could find you end up taking your car to the garage to get fixed and it take days, when its just a two minute job you can fix yourself.

Manual? I never read manuals... I opened it once to check what one button was.. it turned out to be the rear fog light button [}:)]

No, EMEGRGENCY!

Your radiator goes, you're carrying no water in the boot, hey presto, out comes the johnny, off to the nearest garage, fill it up, back to the car, problem solved????????????????????????????????
