Just bought a 54 plate stilo jtd 115.have only got radio code.
should i have the key code?
but more to the point will i need it if something goes wrong with the vehicle ie to recallibrate something etc.
The car runs fine at mo but have ordered FES with reader as plan to do own maintenance etc.
Will i need my car key code at all whilst using FES or is the key code only for replacement keys as dealer is suggesting to me.

you will need the code card mainly for key programming but also for activating the indicator light at central door locking.

The key code has to be used to gain access to the security part of your cars ECU.

Better go and see the stealers and get the code.
Any idea of price for the code?

All depends on the dealer you use, I've see people quoting prices from £20 to £50.

I wouldn't bother getting it unless needed. You may never need it and it'll be a complete waist of ££

Just spoke to my local stealer about the codes....
They said just bring my v5 and ID and they will email fiat for the key codes. It will take up to 24hours but there is no charge ..
