Evening all,

Just picked up my 1.6 dynamic tonight, air con is dead and clutch pedal squeeks but garage are sorting that.

Have noticed something odd though, when I press the ASR button next to the gear level (led comes on) the dash board says asr off, and when I turn it back off (led goes out) the dash says asr on.

Anyone got any ideas how to put this right?

Andy

ASR is switched on by default so pressing the button illuminates the LED and displays the ASR Off status on the dash. When you press the button again, you return it to it's original state and the LED goes off and the dash shows ASR on.

I know it's arse about face but that's how it used to work in my old Vectra too.

My clutch pedal squeeks and it's getting worse! [:(!]

Yet another generic fault with the Stilo.

This is how it works for sure. No worth checking furtther. The car notifies you if you have switched it OFF by that led indication on the dashboard.

Lead, get your clutch lubricated. It is a 5 minutes job for the service people. Mine used to do it as you might recal on a previous post. It started off with little squeaks and got worse with time.

Fiat Stilo 80 Active, no alloys, no power tuning, love the sky window though!

OHH THE SHAME :I

Sorry guys, I read the manual after I posted the question and it all clicked into place (on the third read through)

My clutch squeeks too, its getting fixed along with the air con on Friday of next week

Yes! The shame!! [8D] Mind you, if people actually read their handbooks before they posted on here there would be very little discussion!

And as we all know, FIAT handbooks are an entertaining read due to the frequent use of pidgin english.

You would have thought that FIAT would have been able to string a few sentences together in proper english by now - you expect it from one of the new wave of asian manufacturers!
