I've had the fiat Cd changer in for a week now and i must say that i'm not verry impressed. A part from the fact that every time you turn the car off it only seems to remember the Cd you were on (and not the track) i have found that every time i use the phone on my sat nav the Cd starts all over again!!! is this normal??? Is there any way to fix either of these problems??
Tanks a bunch,
Sam

Hi

What you are experiencing is indeed normal, and a right pain in the butt.

I am hoping this will be cured by the time the next update comes out for the NAV+ system - fingers crossed.

Hadn't noticed the one with the phone before - Have to check this tomorrow!

doesn't happen on my car, my system remembers CD and track!

Have read that this issue only really affects the SatNav Cd units and not the normal Cd unitsand can be worse when mp3 cds are used.

Do me a favour and carry out a little test for me, to confirm my thoughts.

Play a CD in the multichanger and set the volume to about 14-15. During quiet parts / in between tracks, can you hear a high-pitched whine in the background ?

I had this on my first Stilo Abarth and I've got exactly the same on my current one. It's bloody annoying and Fiat are allegedly 'aware' of it, but in usual style, pass the buck between Visteon, Blaupunkt and Uncle Tom Cobbley as to who's fault it is and what can be done about it. On my last one, Fiat refunded me the money for the CD changer, with me keeping it in place and I can see this one going the same way.
