I recently decided that the time had come for me to get a new car, and since seeing a stilo I knew that it was the car for me. I like both the 3 and 5 door models, but thought that as I often have passengers the 5 door was the better choice. However, I am 20 years old and some of my mates think that the 5 door model is better suited to an older person, or somebody with a family. I just wanted to know what everyone else thought.

it’s a personal choice ;) also depends if you would choose a false image of sportiness (unless you are going for a 2.4 petrol or 1.9 JtD 150 with a remap - some people get about 170 out of it.. gm is 1.9 150 available in a 3 dr?) over practicality (that is being able to fit tall girls in the back as well as in the front (y)) - you can always get tints.. looks real cool

if you can find em ;) but if you're only concerned as far as you and your gf go - get a 3 dr (it does look better (y))

12 [looking for tall girls to enjoy a spacious 5 dr with tinted windows X]
Yep i’m bit older than 20 (and you do load more m8s in a 5 dr )

It's easier to have sex in a 5 door. You can have the rear doors open.

That would be a bit cold though in weather like this.

Better go for a multiwagon, where you can really impress her by putting the back seats down and installing a full size bed.

MW also looks much better than the 5 door, which frankly is for old people.

same... 3 door for looks... 5 door for practicality.
i just got a 5 door having had 3 door cars all the time and i am liking it!
i still love the look of the 3 doors, especially the back of the roof and the rear lights!
never driven a 3 door stilo, so don't know if they handle different!

2 words....

3 DOOR

...unless you like driving around in something that looks like your dads car!

:ROFLMAO:

That's a surprisingly dumb comment from someone I've become accustomed to hearing words of wisdom from :(

Disagree about the looks too - can't say I've ever been keen on the estate car image at any age :p

One things for certain, like for like, I can't see the MW staying with the 5 door if both are in a hurry (at least not in mine ).

That said, if I was 20 I'd buy the 3 door.

Got petrol the other day while visiting and walking back from the pumps her in doors said "Its a smart car my stilo" thought I had married a petrol head for one moment..:p in the next breath she said ..I do miss the extra doors tho
