Hey guys Taken my car to the garage and they need to replace the crank shaft Pulley as the rubber inside has screwed up. All it does really is just makes an agrivating noise. What other problems can this cause?

I had this a couple of years ago (less than a year old). Rattle drove me mad. Not sure what damage it could do though.

Yeah really starting to spin me out i went to one garage they ordered the wrong part twice. Gone to another garage now just waiting for the part.

It will fall off soon, smashing the plastic cam belt cover and jamming or snapping the cam belt. i.e. you will need a new engine if you do not change it. I personally would not drive the car if I was you until it is fixed, as it is very expensive to repair if it does break.

Well its still under warrantie they guy said its ok to drive and they been messing me about big time so it will cost them

Hmm shall i take it to fiat or shall i leave the garage do it as its Still under warrantie
Take it to a Fiat dealer 1st and see if there is an outstanding recall on your car, if not and your not going to get it done as a recall, then take it to the place that will do it under warranty

Recall was only on 1.1, 1.2 & 1.4 8v and 16v engines- NOT the 1.6 16v as owned by swansea2007.

Rattle stays all the time. No matter what the temprature.. A good spray of WD40 solves the problem for about 10 secs So i f u can get a midget under you bonnet with couple cans of WD40 you be fine till it warms up.
