Yes the dealer I bought my car from has managed to annoy me again, nearly 2 years after I bought the car. Seems they didn't register my car with The Retaina Group (ISR) like they said they would. So now I get to pay £20 for the privelage. Muppets.

Also, I noticed while browsing through my manual earlier, a feature called the Independant Additional Heater, where you can heat the car and coolant up 30 minutes before you get in. Has anyone got this? Or has anyone even come across it, it's a totally new one on me!

Same thing happened to me at JCS only it was the Fiat warranty they failed to register, had to do it myself. Same people who fitted spring catchers to my car the other day despite having eibachs on. Not sure what's happened to them in the last two years but they used to be tip top.

Never heard of the pre-heat on a Stilo?

i would think the preheaters aimed at colder countires TBH,maybe not even a UK option

Bozzy, I wouldn't go to JCS anymore for anything. Their sales staff are crap, their parts staff are crap, and I hear it on good authority that their techs aren't the best either. And don't worry about the warranty anyway, they'll try and worm out of doing warranty work anyway.

Bearing in mind I don't have a garage that sort of function would be bloody handy in the winters here in Aberdeenshire :chin:

Hehe, if you find a decent dealer anywhere near there, let me know. I'm never setting foot in JCS again...ever...at least not without my rifle :devil: I found my leather JCS keyring in my office the other day...it went straight in the 'burn bag'

EDIT: I'm going to email Fiat UK and ask if the independant additional heater was ever a UK option on the Stilo.

evans halshaw in mansfield have moved FIAT now and recruited more techs I think, haven't tried them yet though

Might give them a try next time I'm up that way. I live in Dorset anyway, so my nearest (and best I've found so far) dealer is Olds of Dorchester. They're actually really good. Apart from the snotty receotionist who brags to her mate that she got away with DD, then gives me a lecture about how dangerous it is for my rear pads to be worn...dumb muppet!
