At the risk of asking a rather stupid question, is there space to fit a 2.0 in a Panda? Or any of the cars you suggest?

I only ask because my sister has a 2.0i 8V Cavalier, and that engine is huge.

Apart from that, I'd be scared to drive a 2.0 Panda! :I I doubt the chassis would cope with all that power. The Cavalier 2.0 is one of the lowest-powered 2.0 engines I know of with 115bhp. The largest Panda engine is the 1.1 Selecta, with 54bhp. There's probably a good reason Fiat didn't make a 'sporting' Panda.....

basicly im looking to tear out the panda engine + gearbox seal off the front

then stick a 2.0l auto in the back with the rear axle from somthing rear wheel drive, like a sierra for instance

A 1242cc Punto 60/75 engine could be tuned to 100 bhp+ on carbs, in 700kg that would be enough to scare the bejesus out of anyone I would have thought. It should bolt straight up to the gearbox too.

The 1242 16v engine from the 80 might fit, not sure about clearance though.

I've got about 70+ bhp in my 1242 Cinq and it's quick enough (for now.........)

My 903cc is just a little more than 700kg as it stands. I'll look at the VIN plate tomorrow and get back to you.....

Wouldn't that make the thing tip over? ;)

ahahahahah

i can already imagine the looks pf people in their golf mk5's and their novas when they get hammered by a bloody panda!! WAHHHHH!!!

now i just gotta track down an automatic greabox with kickdown..

i dont think kickdown will be needed, but hey, in a panda, it'll be like NoS lol

( got my HP info from www.parkers.co.uk )

One thing though. Please don't change the Panda's appearance. Sticking alloys, body kits, and the like onto it will make it look like a speed machine.

But if you keep the body as standard, even with the 750, 900, or 1000 badge on the boot, it'll have much more of an effect when you race the Golf's, Nova's etcetera, if they think you're in a standard Panda ;)

Paul

From the side view, it looks remarkably like the previous model Range Rover ;)

I'm still hoping to get to the Midlands Italian Car Day at the

Hefefordshire area via M5, M42,M1?
