Can anyone assist me in working out when the cambelt should be changed on a 2001 non turbo Scudo?

The service book with the van doesn't seem to list the non turbo variant, but all the others seem to say 72k or 5 years.

Any ideas?

Ok, further to the above post I have had the timing belt replaced.

I've just picked the van up and have a couple of minor concerns.

First off, the engine sounds a lot more 'whiney'. I'm guessing that as the timing belt and tensioners have been replaced, and so has the drive belt, that I'm just hearing taught new rubber and that the sound will likely decrease over time.

Sound reasonable?

Secondly, there is a spot of uneven running just above idle speed. If you hold the throttle at this level it runs quite unevenly as if it's misfiring. I'm a bit more concerned about this. However, surely if the timing was out it would run a whole lot worse or not at all?? It just misses a little at this point and runs fine through all other revs.

I'll probably take it back to the garage tomorrow to let them give an opinion, but anyone care to offer theirs here?

Thanks

Not got a scudo myself, but I would probably do the same and take it back to the Garage. Obviously it shouldn't be doing this, and since it only happens at a certain rev range it will probably be hard to pick up, but if it didn't do it before it went in then it shouldn't when it comes out :)
