So a few days ago my engine management light came on with codes p0489 and p0490. Car seemed fine no issues planned to take a look this weekend.

However 2 days ago my wife filled up and bingo eml goes off, car fixed .. how wrong i was!

Next day it comes back on again, did a 120 mile round trip with eml on but car drove fine, however last night took it out and it feels like its gone into limp mode revs wont go above 3k, no.acceleration power, failt codes are:


P0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit High

P0406 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit High

P2143 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vent Control Circuit /Open

P0489 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) "A" Control Circuit Low

P1461 - Air Conditioning Pressure Sensor ACP Sensor High Voltage Detected

Anyone have any ideas, hopefully its not the ecu, sureley boost sensor, egr and air con switch cant all of failed at same time?

Is it possible it could be a wire somewhere?

So i did an odb reset and unplugged and plugged a few things in and out, all codes apart from po489 have now cleared.

What is going on lol??

Ive now unplugged the egr valve and have an open circuit and a position sensor error but the dread p0489 has gone, eml has gone off and power is restored.

Will this keep the eml off and will this cause any damage?
