I want to get a sat nav and thinking of getting the navman f20 but not sure if its any good. Has anyone got one of these or know someone that has and have they had any probs with it..thanx (y)

Got 3 of them in the house.

Easy to use, easy to program. Petrol and parking buttons are a great help

If you want a sat nav that will just get you there then you cant go wrong with an f20

Will let you know lol and the reason im getting one is because i wanna go camping, least ill know where im going then lol plus can go anywhere and know ya gonna get there too :D

Excellent, there are sat navs now that can run OS Sheet type mapping as well, just in case that was what you were after. Wouldnt have like you to have been trying to navigate across the lakes on foot using one. (y)

Lol me neither cause ide be too cold and ill for the hols, hospital instead of tent lol (y)

Had a play with an F50 today, really good units.

Basically they are an F20, a bluetooth handsfree (made by parrot) and a traffic module all rolled in to one.

Very good for the money.

It seems more recently that Navman are top players in the sat nav leagues. gone of the days when you either had a Tomtom or a Garmin

I bought a Navman F20 yesterday from Tesco for £127, they also sell camera bags for £3.20 which fit the Navman perfectly!

Does anybody know where I can get the software from for free so that I can add my own points of interest? On the Navman website the CD and USB lead are £12 but surely it's available for free somewhere? (y)

I took my F20 out for a test this afternoon and I hadn't even left my road before it tried to take me up a dead end. (n)
It's been a dead end for about 6 or 7 years and the TomTom One I borrowed knew that yet the Navman didn't.
I'm doing a 270 mile journey tomorrow so hopefully it will take me straight to where I want to go. ;)

That would be handy for me to know that too .....just getting used to mine lol

Just bought THIS on ebay, you can't argue at £2.49.

Luckily my MP3 USB lead fits my Navman so that's another couple of quid saved.

I emailed the seller before buying just to ask how to add the POI's as I'm a total newbie to sat nav:
The best website, in my opinion is www.poihandler.com, from there you just download whatever file you want and then use the program to import to your satnav. A bit tricky at first but I am sure you will figure it out. There is a help file on the cd.
