Hi all hope you can help i have a mk1 punto 55s and its a spare car so i have had new mot put on it last week and picked it up last night ands it had a working 2nd hand altenater fitted but its not charging the alternater was working on the car it came of but im getting no charge have checked all wire is there a fuse or something that could of blolwn etc thanks

because i had to put another battery on it last night and all was working great till the battery started to loose its power and car started to stop charge battery over night put on car this morning car startsand drive then same when goes dark put lights on then it drains power from battery and evry thin dims and car starts to dye but im getting no warning lamp on dashboard

Yes, if the lights dim with the engine running the battery is not charging.

is there any relays or fuses that are in line from altenator to bateery so it charges that could of blown?

No, the alternator is wirered directly to the battery. With a volt meter you should see 12.. volt at the alternator permanently even with the ignition off. If not the alternator is not wired correctly and hence the charging fault.
