My HG has now gone - This damn car !!

Punto 98.. Do you reakon its safer whacking it through the auctions and getting another punto (always a plenty) or getting it fixed, we have replaced almost the entire cooling system !!

Whats a normal price for a HG replacement at a garage - its beond my DIY mechanics thsi one.

Its between 300-400, shame you dont know any family/friends that know a mechanic would get done alot cheaper..

Jees - so much for a gasket !! My bro said he could have a go, is it worth it? Ill bet the part is only about £30 !

I cant remember what your engine size is again? 1.2 16v is around £47, the 1.2 8v is around £28 for the HG set, it is recommended that you replace your old HG bolts, get the head skimmed also that costs around £30 for DIY job shouldnt cost you more than a £120..

1.2 8V - car aint worth the £300 thats for sure. I really like the punto though, I hope they have others in the auctions.. think ill pass this one on to someone who can fix it themselves.. anyone wanna buy a punto.. nice black shiney one !!
