Hi guys,me missus mk2 elx has had this symbol on the dash for a few weeks now,and one headlight bulb out,i assumed this was the cause and i got round to changing the bulb for her but the symbol is still there!

ive been round the car and checked all the lights and all are now working,am i missing something or is the symbol nothing to do with lights at all!!

i have a MK1 and it aint on my dash!

either side light bulb rear light buld, or you got led bulbs

but are they leds?

i wouldnt worry dude had my punto 1 year now and that light has been on every day since

if you have led side lights then its nothing to worry about, the led dont take no power so system thinks its broke. you can fit a resistor to make it go out

as long as its not a prob ill leave it,its the missus car anyway so i only have to look at it every now and then,but now at least she will leave me alone about getting it sorted!

The indicator is there to show that there's an abnormal current in one of the non-obvious lighting circuits - sidelights, taillights, brakelights. (Not sure about indicators, foglight or reversing light as they never blew when I had my Punto). It could be dodgy connections or bulbs that are slightly out of spec. It doesn't affect the running of the car, but is handly to let you know that a bulb has blown.

I had this light come on on my dash aswel. Only happened everytime i braked tho but only done it when pressed hard, new bulb and it was sorted
