Does Anyone know how to test for fault codes - the air bag light is on and means 101 things are possibly wrong. usually there is a port you can put a multimeter on to see the fault code and thus tell you what is actually wrong.

Did this on my GTO Twin Turbo to find out all that was wrong was a dash board light had blown. I'd Rather fix it myself than pay a stupid amount of money to someone who is going to chang a £1.20 light bulb:mad:

Car is MK1 Punto Sporting 1.2

Many thanks Adrian141

air bag light issue is very common on most fiats. even the dealer's examiner will not tell them exactly where the problem is, which is why they randomly change wires (often the one above the glove box). but even if you go to a dealer you can be fairly certain the light will come back on shortly after you leave the dealer. i took the LED out, thats fixed it permanently :D

Jug you are blooming dangerous, get the car in to a dealer and get it checked by the DET and ignore anyone who suggests ignoring a failure lamp on a safety related system. Presumably Jug removes the batteries from his smoke alarms as well.
