instead of buying lowering springs, would it be possible just to chop down the stock springs on a mk1 punto 55, i know chopping them will not give any better performance, but its just the lowered look im looking for, any suggestions?

Cheers

chopping springs was daft when people started doing it decades ago, and many many fatalities later people are still considering it. if you cant afford lowering springs just go without. would you drink petrol if you didnt have any water handy? no because its a stupid idea, just like chopping springs.

chopped springs are well known to come out of their seats and cause serious loss of handling, usualy on tight bends over a bump, when you really dont want it happening. the result is almost always the car going off the road and hitting whatever is in the way. take your pick, a tree, a wall, a person, another car, either way you'll be dead or in serious trouble. plus your insurance will be void if they find the chopped springs while they're removing your corpse from the wreckage, not that you'll care once you're comfy in your coffin.

thanks for that morbid reply, yeah it does seem a bit dodgy, ill just invest in the safer, more life friendly set of springs.

ive got some standard gt3 springs that will fit and 15mm lower than stock, £20 if your interested i know it wont slam it but there if you want them.
