Hi, alot of controversy is around about suspension and what good at teh moment. I was wondering what teh general idea is about Spax lowering springs? I am wanting to lower my car between 30, 45mm, but cannot afford coil-overs. I have just had new struts at the front and the shocks on the back are 6 months old. The springs on the front are on the way out too. Advice would be good, as I only know that about 35, 40mm tops isnt too much strain on standard shocks.

Apparantly your shocks will be fine i.e. will work but may wear out sooner due to the reduced travel allowed.

I'd say go for it and replace shocks when/if they do wear out. After all you'll only have to replace them with the shortened travel ones if you did buy some!

They do drop the car a fair bit, but since I showed the photos on here, the car has settled slightly lower

How far? if its about 40mm then thts ok. Any more and my shocks wil wear out v. quickly? you reckon they will fit my 75? even though it sez for a 55/60?

id say go for 35mm drop

Yep thats what i want, 35-40mm drop, but just wodnering if 55/60 springs will fit my 75, I need to know seeing as I will have to bid on them on ebay soonish

on Demon Tweeks site it says their is only two types of spax springs available

55/60/75

and

90/GT

so I would say they would fit

If you search on google you may get it cheaper from somewhere else.
