Hi all,

I have recently brought a new car due to my punto mk2 AS not being practical for my needs anymore and also needing a fair bit of work done to it.
It needs:

New headgasket (although it runs fine, it needs replacing)
water pump (leaking and had to be topped up every other day)
radiator fan
resistor block for blowers
boot rubber trim
new lock on passenger door
new passenger seat (doesn't flip forward for some reason, cable is probably broken inside)
new radio and front speakers

The MOT is running out next month and the battery is flat, it passed its last MOT with no advisories and only has 88-89k or so on the clock. The clutch, slave cylinder and a few other bits were replaced in october 2016 and it still runs despite all the issues. Should I sell, scrap or break for parts? let me know what you think. cheers :D

Sounds like a project for an enthusiast who just might get his money back. Parting is not that great an option especially on a car of that age with a blown HG.

None of the issues listed are MOT related. Get it tested, if it passes sell for £150 as an MOT'd banger, if it fails drive it to the nearest scrap dealer and get its weight in scrap value.

Would be worth confirming if the headgasket has popped or not; is there mayonnaise in the oil filler cap?
