Hi all,

I have bought a pair of shocks for the rear of my 2002 1.2 8v Punto. The parts that I have are BOGE 30-D55-A. I have fitted one and they are far too short compared with the original Fiat units. Even when they are fully extended I am having to raise the suspension arm excessively to the get the eyes to line up. On lowereing the car, the wheel sits right up under the wheel arch which isn't right.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone recognise the BOGE part number as being correct or incorrect?
Before I go to the supplier and have a moan, any help would be great
Any help would be great
Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Yes the springs are in there, I didn't have to remove them to fit the shocks. The problem seems to be that they are too short when fully extended and it pulls the back end down or pulls the wheel up when the shock eyes are lined up. The springs need to be over compressed to get the shocks to fit.

If I gave you the chassis number could you help??

Best regards

Simon

Hi again,

Thanks for the info. In between Q&A's, I have found a usefull site that has the BOGE unit down as a Mk1 part. The one for my car is 27-D84-A

The site is http//webcat.zf-trading.com

Just fill in the boxes and off it goes.

Thanks for your help

Simon
