Recently got ahold of some lowering springs, put the rears on for about 5mins just to see what it was like, and took it for a little spin, noticed the rear bottomed out easily over any little bumps. got the car back up on a ramp and saw that the bump stops were virtually bottomed out with the lowering springs on.
Has anyone else had the problem when lowering a mk1 punto on 40 or 60mm springs? and what did you do to resolve it? cheers

first of all, state clearly what size of springs you are using, and what wheel size.

i have the back of mine lowered 40mm with 14in wheels, standard profile tyres and although the rubber stops are nearly touching, it never bottoms out.

Hi ive got a mk1 punto sat on a G-Max kit lowered all round 40mm instructions in the kit say that you need to trim off shorten the bump stops by at least 20mm minimum this should cure your prob(y)

Yeah, ive got 15's on and the springs are 40mm
