the Wife's punto 1999 Mk1 needs touching up a bit (ooer missus!) with some spray paint. Its the Grigio Steel metallic colour and i cannot seem to get the normal spray cans in the car shops. However on the shelf seem to be very similar silver/grey metallic sprays for Fords and vauxhal's and was wondering if anyone knows what one might do even though it might not be an ultra match up if its pretty damn near that'll do for me tommy.

Thanks. I have a halfords nearby but they don't mix it up in that store I asked once - just the cans on the shelves. Plenty of metallic silvers for Fords Vauxhall's and the like on the shelves but all different shades.

I personally would find out if they deliver to Ireland before using a ford colour on my car...it may look the same-ish on the tin...but will stand out like a sore thumb once on the car.

Would be better to get the correct code, cos even then it will not match 100% due to sunfade etc.

There is no way that I would just pick up a can that looks similar and start using on my car tbh :)

Hi Mate,
I use these for my mixed car paints, just go to 'Aerosols' then 'Mixed Aerosols' then put in year, make, model and colour code (on the inside of the boot) and bobs yer uncle!! Delivery is really fast and colour match is always perfect.

Thanks, thats good to keep in mind and I see they also seem to deliver to Ireland so thats good.
