So i bought the baby version of the EVO GP. just wanted to know if there was any ways of increasing the power of this car, like tuning, or remapping?

and if i was to do either of these things are they reversible as the car is on a finance deal with dealership and i dont wanna hand the car back in 3 years or what ever and they wont take it because its been "tampered" with.

Im completely new to FIAT ownership so be patient :)

Thanks

hey and welcome.
i did have a look a few months ago about a remap and only found its a waste of time and money, as there isnt much more to get out of the engine (i could be wrong) saw on one website that the increase in bhp was only 4. so for around £300 wasn't worth it. have a look in the grande punto section and see if they have increased the power as the 1.4 8v in the grande is the same.

Thanks

I had a look around and the re-mapping i fond would have taken me to 85bhp for £294, still not worth it. But, i will have a look at the Grande section and see what that lot are saying to it.

I opened the bonnet, took a look and wondered where the rest of it was. haha

I am pretty sure that all the grande people say when this questions pops up. Save and by bigger engine.

I have same engine and have looked in the grande for tips. I think we are pretty limited and will have to enjoy our car for what it is, and I love my car ! (y)

I love it too, it is actually quite a nippy engine, especially when it's just me driving it.

New key covers just arrived there, im sure i asked for white, and i got a silver one and a blue one that i definetly didn't ask for.....

hey man i got the 1.2 mylife black and im in the same situation 3 years , reason why i didnt go for the 1.4 cause it was only .7th of a second quicker , best way to make it quicker is weight reduction i dont mean ripping out the seats lol cause that would look naff , buy light weight alloys , thats what im doing, weight reduction is the best way to make your car go quicker ;)

What sort of MPG are you guys getting ,from givin it some and from my wife driving a little more slowly,

My driving is mixed, as I live in the country I have nice country roads to give it some and then more normal driving around town and im getting 45mpg on average, highest I have had was 57mpg but that was driving in super eco style and the lowest I have had is 40mpg but that was once and when i first got the car.

So yeah 45-47mpg on average (y)

Best average i can get over 200 miles mixed is 37.4,may increase a little as its only just done 2000 miles. On motorway it feels like i could do with a sixth gear

i think im getting about 34.7mpg.....and yes it really needs a 6th speed. sick of doing 4000rpm and going nowhere.
