Should the manufacturers breakdown assistance policy (AA/RAC/GreenFlag - whatever) that is included with new cars run for the same length of time as the manufacturers warranty.

hmmmm, the panda did come with three years AA, and now it's one across the model range, and having seen your original thread i can see why you're looking for validation of your arguement for a longer cover period. personally, i think whatever is given is better than nothing, there is no obligation to give anything, even a discount

hmmmm, I'm not looking for validation and I don't really care which way the vote goes it would just be interesting to see other peoples views. Surely that's the purpose of the pole, maybe we can send the results to Fiat ?

Every new car I have every bought....

Renault Clio
Nissan Micra (Best car ever owned)
MG ZS+ (Need it 8 time in Garage in 9mths)
Fiat Barchetta (3times AA had to come out!!)

And every one of them came with 3yrs Warrenty and AA or RAC cover.

But I guess it's not mandatory. US cars bought in the UK have 5yrs with 5yrs road assist.

Depends on the company your buying from.

It seems to make sense to have them matching, and the vast majority of people here seem to agree.

in fairness, that's like asking, should cars have a 2 year warranty or a 3 year warranty. people are hardly gonna choose less cover

warranty and roadside assistance are not related at all. its like asking if a car should come with as many seats as it has engines.

besides a years roadside assistance costs less than £40, or even less with your insurance company, so its no big deal. i'd rather have an extra years warranty and no roadside assistance.
