Every car we have had with a male name has run for years trouble free. We had an old talbot called Rosey and she abused us royaly with chewing up gearboxes to stripping clutches on their first outing etc. Then we had an F reg Cavalier from nearly new that we called Hugo only just got rid of him (part ex'd for a bravo) and he never gave us any trouble. My GF has a punto called Penny which gives us grief as often as she can. My punto is a bloke and other than TLC has been free from problems thus far. He's called melvin. What gender is your car and what's its name?

I don't do names for cars, maybe because I'm not female... :D

The person who bought our old Tempra though called it 'Vinnie' after Vinnie Jones since the number plate was 'VJN'

hmmm, my car must be female... it's nice to look at and fun to throw around, but it's also temperamental and has been known to break down for no reason :p

When i was younger my dad always told me that cars are girls and lorries are male.
I dont know what i'd want my car to be though.
Probably female cuz its like your bitch and you own it ;)

Hello! I'm from Italy, and in italian the words "automobile" and "macchina", which mean "car", are both female (we don't have neutral names in italian), so it is usual to christen your car with female names.
However, my classic Panda is male! :D
