Hi all, my Fiat Stilo is now in the scrap heap in the sky but I got my daughter a 2005 Fiat Panda mainly because of it's group 1 insurance.

I bought here a combined DVD, Radio, Sat Nav and rear view camera from China for Xmas. It fit's in the slot OK but it had very few instructions. Unfortunately from the picture (hope it's clear enough) it does not fit in the correct loom.

Is there a wiring loom out there that will fit? Or any ideas how to fit? The sat nav and rear view camera have separate connections so I think should be easy enough to fit.

There's several ebay vendors with ISO adapters and even Halfords do them.
Often need one for the loom and another for the aerial.

Worth a look assuming that you find a match.

Is the unit full depth as well as double-DIN? It's kinda tight in there though these thing shave been fitted before.

I've taken the metal housing that comes with radios off and it fits snug, I haven't tried it in the whole way though and with 2 looms it may be a tight fit. I'm not bothered with it protruding a little, so long as I can get it working. It's a pop up screen so I think it will look fine in place.

I'm also not bothered about the rear view camera. It's to be wired in with the reversing light and will have to be tracked in under carpets etc. Seems a lot of hassle for something that's not totally essential. So long as she can get some music and have the sat nav working I'd be happy.

I already bought a loom off Ebay but it was the wrong fitting (into the stereo, not to the Panda). I've looked at other looms but the connections just don't seem to match up with the wiring.

I can't post links until I've 5 posts :/

Will you not need some sort of CanBus adapter.

Original is connected to the body computer that then controls it switching on and off.

Not 100% on this. Fully expect someone with more experience with I.C.E to either correct or give a better explanation.

I think the CANBUS thing is fine as this is a standard Panda with no steering controls either.

Many folks have fitted your standard Sony/Pioneer single-DIN Bluetooth stereo with only the need for the loom adapter, though in most cases they plug straight in (other than the aerial).

This one feels like it's using a non-standard plug with no obvious loom adaptor. I guess you could craft your own if you knew the wiring diagram. There's a few specialist places around that might recognise the plug and offer a solution.

There is a wiring diagram but not sure where to start. I will figure it but would appreciate anyone with knowledge to guide me. Will update my threads with links when I reach 5 posts.

It'll be quiet at Halfords. Nip down and give them something to ease the late-afternoon ennui.

Something like this maybe:

Not sure if the male/ female connectors are correct but I may take a race up to Halfords when my daughter gets home (around 6pm). I did a search on Halfords but turned up nothing, guess "loom" is not the correct search terminology, harness does seem more popular.
