Hi! Completely new to the forum but have spent hours reading through threads...

Couldn't find a thread anywhere where 100hp owners were sharing all their mods.

I have done a few things to my 56plate grey 100hp.

Mods are as follows:

-Koni Sport rear dampers (if you haven't got them yet, get them!)

- Changed tyres to Bridgestone 195/50/r15 (They seem to fill the arches much better than the 45 profiles)

- Alpine head unit with bluetooth/stearing wheel capability etc

- Painted brake calipers red (I heard it gives you and extra 15bhp...(y))

- Halfords extreme brilliance headlight bulbs (i live in the new forest and they really help you see the ponies and other wildlife as they walk out in front of you!)

- Silver indicator bulbs to get rid of the horrible fried egg look

- shorter radio aerial (the original one disappeared :s)

- Mtec drilled and groved brake discs all round with EBC Greenstuff pads (i can strongly recommend this mod)

- tesco luxury car matts... dont judge me, they are actually really good quality!

I think thats it for now but i've probably forgotten something.

I have owned my little panda for about a year and a half, covered 17,000 miles so far trouble free. It had a full service history when i bought it which i wanted to keep up so had a major service which included cambelt, water pump, brake fluid change, air con re-gass, all filters changed and lovely new oil. i'm a bit of a neat freak and methodically clean her for hours and hours to make her shine like new. I LOVE MY PANDA!

Now, share your mods! :)

Welcome to FF.

Would love to see some pics! :)

How much was all the major service and belt change all in out of interest?
Thanks!

I will get some photos up soon.

Service was done by main fiat dealer at the cost of £550 (ish) whenever i get a new car i like to make it the best it can be. although i could have done the work myself i wouldn't of had the all important stamp in the book! A pretty high price to pay mind. i think the Parts cost was around £320.

Nah thats cheap, ours just quoted £470 for just a belt and water pump change  :p

Hi and Welcome JC.

Like the brakes mod. I'm not quite there with performance modding yet as still have warranty. So been doing only styling mods. Not gonna list as its grown .
But heres a link to my cars progress if u interested.

Atm waiting for weather to improve so I can plastidip the car and finally make it matte black and have baked headlight units opened sitting in my "workshop" ei spare room :D. Waiting for HID projector lenses from good old China and a CCFL backlight bulbs from laptop screen to work as an alternative to LED strip to look like a brow. Also trying to get in touch with a guy from Poland to get him to show me how he installed Abarth steering wheel and got all controls to work too :bang:. My plate is full as u can see :D.

my panda... really need to take some more decent photos!

I tried fitting HID kit to my car last year and it rejected it. all sorts of flashing dials. it was a mid range twin relay kit from hids-direct supposedly CAN-bus compatible. but it wasn't. i love the idea of projector headlights though. you definitely have a lot on your plate. iv toyed with the idea of plasti-dipping my wheels. or perhaps complete refurb in anthracite? could potentially a bit too much grey though.

DONE:
- K&N Flat Panel Filter
- Osram Nightbreaker Plus headlight bulbs
- Silver indicator bulbs
- Yellow Lamin-X on the fogs (with yellow Nokya bulbs)
- Italian flag decal on rear spoiler
- EBC Green Stuff front pads
- Uni-chip (fitted and tuned for an extra 5kw power and 9Nm torque)
- Smaller back box and bigger exhaust pipe (similar to Ragazzon) by Powerflow

COMING SOON:
- Koni STR.T rear dampers
- Resprayed alloys (in Renaultsport anthracite)
- Resprayed brake calipers (in Brembo gold)

DONE
Removed the stupid red Pandamonium stripe
Washed a few times each year

TO BE DONE
Another wash - in say, April
195/50 tyres probably - mainly for a slight increase in comfort
New car mats - only cos they're my old 500 mats and a bit worn

TOO LAZY TO DO
Dripping a bit of red Humbrol Enamel paint into the gearstick 'numbers'. Someone did that and it looked pretty decent.

Have just made sure the kit going back on the car was better than the originals or solves a ride problem. Not really performance "upgrades".. List is:

K&N Flat Panel Filter
Osram Nightbreaker Plus headlight bulbs
EBC Green Stuff pads all around
Koni Sport rear dampers
Koni STR.T front dampers
Ulter Sport exhaust - complete bargain!

Think that's it.

Ok so, just done the under £30 induction mod. the sound is almost unbelievable!

also this evening i have started sound deadening. so far done the boot, and both nearside doors. the clunk as you shut the doors now is getting close to sounding just like a golf. ;)

For the sound deadening ive got 20sq ft of the sticky back foil type stuff and a felt underlay type thing which seems to do the trick. about £80 worth is going to be enough to easily to the all the doors, boot floor and tailgate with some left over!

i took a decibel measurement of 83db at 40mph on a local stretch of road so am interested to see how much that will be reduced by after fully done!

had the car a week,
so far,
* changed the air filter for a BMC panel filter and done the £30 filter mod,
*Abarth front and rear badges
*smoked side indicators + amber LED bulbs
*slivertec indicator bulbs all round.
*new single din head unit (with ipod and aux inputs)with steering wheel *compatability
*Graphite coloured strada wheels.
*Short airiel
*Heko wind deflectors.
*angry panda decal :)
*Red carbon covered door handle resesses + climate/temperature gauges.
*re-sprayed top of gear knob in graphite with red details.

awaiting steering wheel cover and aero blades...(y)

Koni sport adjustables with -20mm Eibach springs
K&N panel filter
Silver indicator bulbs
Banksy 'panda' and FiatForum decals
Iridium plugs
Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs
Ulter-sport rear box.

I'll do the intake mod when i get around to it and maybe a Raggazon back box at some point.

You can't chip or remap the 100HP i'm afraid, the ecu is totally locked down so you'd have to use a piggy back ecu if you want to go down that route.

How have people managed it on the 500 with the same setup then

I'm sure I've seen somewhere there that the odd 1.4 has been remapped, just not that common?

Can you link that as I was under them impression you couldn't as well.

What gains are there to be expected?
