Took the Multijet to Hungary and back recently - would of posted this earlier but have only just gone through the mileage and litres notes I made.

Hopefully not going to bore you all - but just wanted to post the Fuel facts for the journey.

Start point - Dorchester, Dorset, UK.
Finish Point - Veszprem, Hungary.
Plus various trips whilst there.

Total distance: 2261 miles

Total number of litres used: 199.53 l

Converted to UK Gals: 43.89 g

Average MPG for whole trip: 51.5 mpg

Looking at this, it doesnt seem too good - BUT WAIT.

This is an average MPG figure - Below you will see a picture (taken by my passenger) showing the sort of speed we were travelling at for parts of the journey - At this speed the computer was showing that we were doing less that 30 mpg. So to average over 50 mpg is doing very well to such high speed driving whilst fully loaded.

(speed confirmed with TomTom Sat Nav - infact Panda Speedo was under by 2mph !)

We had three people on board with their luggage - On the return journey, we had 'some' wine n' beer to test the suspension ! All in all the Panda performed perfectly - I cannot fault it.

One last thing - with the Panda loaded - it rides really well - not choppy anymore - nice and smooth.

Oh, and if there's any coppers looking - the picture was taken by my passenger whilst we were travelling on an unrestricted German Autobahn.

Not boring in the least. Must have had fun, planning and driving there and back. We take the Alhambra 1.9 (130) to France quite a bit but I would love to give the MJ a good long run - wonder what excuse I could use to get to Hungry with the MJ !!

PS, about the German autobann, we believe you :)
