Hi - I am new to this - driven both the Diesel and TA - TA for me
Looked at the Privelege (British cycling member) finance options last quarter and they looked attractive - not good this quarter (jan 15 on). Fiats lo cost finance appears to be £580 less over 4 yrs!! - perhaps wait till March end for next quarter - any thoughts / advice?

First up, TA is the right choice. :)
I made my purchase December 22, last day of trading for the dealer for the year.
I was a cash buyer and spoke to the dealer about the British cycling option.
OK so this is what I was told, I beleve it to be true ?
He says to take advantage of any scheme I would also have to buy on finance,
Also to use the cycling scheme (BCS) I would need to apply to BCS for a voucher wait to be accepted & then return to the dealer weeks later with my voucher to make my purchase.
I actually ended up with the friends & family discount, I believe it was so dealer could put the sale on his 2014 books ( I dont care why, I just ment I didn't have the hassle of useing BSC).
To get the best from the offer put down the maximum deposit and pay over the shortest time. My finance is about £8.5k over 2 years and if I let it go full term it will have cost me £200, I can pay it off after 6 months without any penalties.

I'm not sure that's correct, when I bought my 4x4 in 2013 I contacted fiat to ask if there was a cash discount available on the IAM privilege scheme as I didn't want to buy it on finance. I was given 15% off the car and all factory-fit options....

Yes you're right, it's wrong!

You currently get 17% as a cash buyer. This also applies to all factory fitted options, as you said. (y)

It may be someone is muddling up the Affinity scheme (discount), and privilege scheme (finance).

Am I eligible for 17% discount on the Affinity scheme as a British Cycling member?

I don't know, I'm not a member, sorry. You would be as a member of the Fiat Motor Club.

I'd have thought the answer was yes, but Carl05 was told his membership of BC didn't qualify unless it was financed. You need to be talking to your scheme administrator to find out what you're eligible for & how it works. A voucher sounds right, but it doesn't delay the ordering process, and shouldn't take weeks - you may not even need the voucher depending on how the dealer verifies your eligibility. (y)

im getting a trekking and on finance, got £3250 off of the price due to BSC [it tooks days to sort that out NOT week and it was so easy and painless, they sent me the voucher code really quickly]

Maybe I was told "several weeks" due to it being christmas eve and everyone would be closing up for the holidays.
