Nope the whole brand new kit

Tried to post a link to it on here but it seems that I haven't passed my Posting Test yet so all I can say is that if you go to fleabay's site and look for Fiat 12v power socket you should get all the info you need....

now .... back to me 3 point posting practice...oops .. failed .. hit a semi colon on the way back !

Re: How to install an original 12v power socket in a Fiat Panda

Hello all Fiat fanciers

Has ANYONE yet installed a 12v socket successfully, and if so, is there anything I should be aware of before I begin to subject my '06 Panda 1.1 Active to minor 'surgery' ?

I have taken into account all the posts pertaining to this installation and have purchased a genuine Fiat relay and have a 20A fuse all ready and raring to go, although I haven't as yet checked out the fuse box or loom connector.

Presently I'm waiting for multitude of success stories to assail my inbox, so please advise me of your victories !

Ojkay

I had enough of the Fiat puzzle book (AKA owners manual)

Had my socket fitted at an auto electrics garage £66 inc vat and now fitted one of the dual socket adapters complete with battery state monitor and 2 USB sockets..Fleabay item number 123992152539

swish or what ??

Ready for anything now

Re: How to install an original 12v power socket in a Fiat Panda

Thanks everyone who has posted in this thread. Found all your comments very useful and reading them saved me a lot of trouble and frustration.

Recently bought a '08 Panda Dynamic 1.1 without a power socked (never even occurred to me to check for that before purchase). When I had a look under the central unit, cable and connector were present but the infamous fuse in position F85 was missing. After reading the thread, I didn't even bother trying anything else and went straight for bilzin's solution.

Ordered the parts from partsworld-uk (£30 for original socket and trim) and took them down to my local auto electrics garage. Took the guy no more than 2 hours to install the socket and wire everything up for £50.

£80 well spent if you ask me and definitely the way to go if you, like me, know very little about cars or auto electrics
