Hi

Just joined the board.

Have just recently rescued a Panda 45CL from being sent to the scrapyard. I was offered it as a spares car for my 750L but when I got to it realised what it was, but took it anyway as I felt kind of sorry for it, as is too good to scrap. Only 30,000 miles, garaged all its life until the old dear who had it died 18 mths ago ;), & spotless interior. Bonnet and doors are rotten though:D (still looking for a corrugated driver's door) and needs new brake flexi hoses. She'll make a great summer runabout.

[?]My question though is how long did they make the 45 CL for and is it 903cc like the 45 was ?

Hi Vin, and welcome :)

The '45' was introduced with the Panda in 1981. It is a 903cc carb unit that was used right up until July 1992. The '45' is a reference to the engine's bhp, and the 'CL' part of yours just refers to interior trim. It's still the same 903cc engine.

Enjoy your Panda ;)
