Right...facelift on hold! I thought it would be a good idea to take Giuseppe to a mates garage so i could get him on the lift and scout around underneath with waxoyl in hand.......No rust, Great!
But...
4 Leaking shocks and 2 knakered ball joints, Bad! (bloody potholes!)

I have shocks on order and a pair of balljoints in stock, but i am in need of the steel hub-plate for each side of the car that holds the entire front assembly together. Mine need refurbishing and the best way to go about it is to refurbish a pair off the car, ready to go on with the shocks......now the question......does anyone have any old ones lying around that i could swap? Therefore you would give me your rusty ones that i can refurb and then i give you my rusty old ones in exchange. also my springs could also do with a spruce up, so does anyone have any springs lying around too? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers.:bang:

Hi there, think I've got two (certainly one) complete struts in the depths of the garage. I could take the plates off those. Might take me a while to get chance to dig them out though as all a bit hectic at the mo Are you in a rush? Cheers, David
I

To be honest i cant see me getting a chance to do anything this week. I need to wait for the shocks to arrive and i need to source some springs anyway. If it could be within a couple of weeks, that would be great. Thanks for the response, Steve(y)

got a couple in the garage I've swapped off, balljoints will need changing and you'll have to swap your bearings on but they're solid.
If you're swapping balljoints anyway it makes it a lot easier to buy them ready assembled as above though.

You're right, it makes far more sense to buy them like that, but i simply cannot afford new ones at the mo as i'm not working right now. Also the fact that i have ball joints and a press at my disposal.:slayer: How much do you want for the old ones? Cheers, Steve
