back in a fiat..picked up a cheeky 93 panda from aberdeen today...months miot and tax, needs a windscreen but quite happily drove the 80 miles or so home at illegal sppeds and still only used a tenner of fuel, foot flat to the floor all the way..not the prettiest panda, but seems solid and in rude health....gonna keep it as a mobile holdall to use for days out with my manky muts and to keep the miles (and manky muts) off my m3 evo.....unless someone wants to swap it for a 750 panda....call me a masochist, but the carpets and 5 speed box just strike me as a bit pretentuious in a panda haha

...and away it goes already..done a deal for a nice 51 plate sei...gave the guy the panda and asome loot...nicer car alround but still got a hankering for a mint 750...so if you see one, let me know..

without wishing to sound pretentious, the 750cc panda was, to my mind, the most perfect interpretation of the panda as a piece of utlitarian 'peoples car' design..basic, no frills as guigiaro designed it....the hammock seats, the sweet wee maintenance free engine, revvy, peppy,willing....only what you need in a car, not what you think you want.....oh, and i owned a low miler years ago and subjected it to untold abuse and neglect and it point blank refused to die....

This is almost poetic! As an ex-750 owner I can endorse most of the above (apart from the untold abuse and neglect!)

Hope to see you back soon!
