Hi all,
New track control arm now fitted - relatively easy job - no probs if the balljoint isn't troublesome!
Got the new lower engine transmission mounting (pad) at last but 'Sikaflex' repair of the old one is still okay and I'm interested to see how long that will last...
Tank strap is knacked - may be secure enough for MOT - not sure on this one as the front strap has gone completely (seen other Panda's with this hanging down!) - thing is the front mounting bolt is up behind the Omega axle mounting bracket. Does this need to be dropped to get to that bolt? Has anyone got to it without dropping the mounting? Looks a bit tight to me. All other bolts are free. Any suggestions for replacing the tank strap?
cheers all,
only two weeks to dreaded MOT now...
(the rear brake compensator valve has gone on the Ducato as well just to add to my seasonal enjoyment!)

Has anyone got to it without dropping the mounting? Yes ;)

If you jack the back of the car up so both rear wheels are off the ground then there is plenty of clearance. A swan neck spanner does make the job a little easier (y)

Can get spanner on said bolt but... my swan neck ain't as long as yours... and then:
found corrosion under original underseal worse than expected...
so now got two Pandas that need welding...
don't think I can face it... getting too old for it at my age...
:bang:

Spent the afternoon to go look at an R reg Citroen Saxo complete with towing eyes and frame (braked) and an X Siecento (unbraked) both priced at £1750 and a Micra (braked) at £2000+. As the towing frames and fitting comes at around £800 it makes the cars seem expensive 'old bangers'. No names mentioned but it was a To tal waste of time.
So now looking at which of the Pandas needs least welding... :p
More Pandas have gone to the breakers yards with that fateful inner sill rot around the rear drag link mounting methinks...
...anyone got a Panda for sale?
there's one on eBay (red) in Poole but test is short (Oct)
I'm sad  will need medicine tonight ...
