Well i have just finished installing an AEM intake and 16" momo rims and some other stuff too but the car needs to be lowered seriously so this is it untill i find some good suspension, what do you think?

seriously I love it , yes I agree it needs to get lowred but then again I love it the way it is .. when 5 ppl are stuffed init .. going on roadbumps feels like driving a 4x4. . while almost all the other cars scrath themselves sillyfrom the bottom hehe

I am going to install some rims but i was thinking of 15" thanks to my budget and I am also planning to repalce the rear speakers and the interior cloth with some Natrual Dark Gray Leather .

but right now fixing the car is All i care for

well here's my STOCK palio , just took the picture an hour ago .
its still SUPER stock , except for the Pioneer cd/mp3 player and the damaged front bumper / front headlight if u consider that a moddification

i'l answer you one thing at a time ba2a

1- The rims are 16" momo "italy" but special made in china for our 3rd world country and yes they are from egypt from arabcom but they are a bit overpriced (3500LE without tires) and i actually wouldn't have got them but my father helped out.

2- I have been going around with the tinted windows for like 2 and a half month now around lots of places and i pass from officers normally but some of the officers are a bit annoying so they stop you aw beyedook mo5alfa but thank god it hasn't happened to me but when you pass by one you can just open the windows fully down.

Now some more stuff you might be interested in, i went to a service center in El 3obour city since i know the manager there and we opened the parts catalog CD together so actually you can order any parts from the 1.8R or any other version of the palio thats sold out there so i ordered the roof spoiler just like the white palio (or the 1.8R they are the same) and i ordered the fog lights too since they don't come as standard. And i saw this white palio like 2 weeks ago and i found a nice guy who will custom do the front and rear lip for me for really cheap. So there are actually lots of stuff here but the thing i'm still looking for is those black headlights from the 1.8R. The reason i mention this is that this service center is really nice and actually they bring the parts from abroad in 20-30 days maximum and there name is (GIS Auto El Ouboor) and good luck fixing your car man oh and for the speakers i got a pair of JVC 420watt 5-way speakers from carrefour for 400LE its a great deal and they have othe cheaper stuff too.

man stay away from the this 1.5l propaganda, this car has a really crappy engine its an 8v with 1.5l and a single overhead cam so actually my 1242cc engine is more powerful and the car has nothing in its interior so i believe the logan will be a better choice putting in mind the crappy service centers here and sorry for the late reply

and well i have had lots of stuff done to the car including a simota intake system and a carbon fiber muffler and new front headlights and yeah new rims too and painted the side mirrors and side skirts but i'll take pics of those later since i'm realy busy with college and planning a turbocharger system that will actually last so give me a couple of days and i'll post the new pics







and finally i made a photoshop for the car with a black hood so should i go for it, nice? stupid? what do you think?

Are the headlights new or did u just paint it black from the inside ? As I am planning to do the same .

I haven't done anything visually yet ( except major scratches and bumps XD )

Visualy , I've had my FIBER GUY XD make me a spoiler and thinking of repainting all the black trim in the same color but I am afraid it won't match , does it look anygood ?

The headlights were just painted because you won't find them here you will have to order them from outside egypt, but well the car is gone now just had an accident a few days ago, i was really glad i had my seatbelt on or i would have gone with the car the thing that pisses me off that i never stop speeding with the car and recently i was with some friends doing some drags but in new cairo here and we ran from some police cars so i was driving around with no plates but on the day i had the accident i was only doing 60 or 70 km/h but the other stupid car was really speeding(a girl by the way) and coming from the right so he hit me from the right and that's visible in the picture but he was really speeding so the car actually jumped the other way and landed on the curb so its gone from the undercarriage too and what makes it worse that the chassis got bent :S so the car is practically junk, i'm just working with the insurance so i can get my car's value back, thinking of getting the fiat punto 3 dr 1.4 turbo the 120hp version but its a special order and i'll have to wait 3 months for it arrive from italy so still looking at my options oh and here is a pic for the car

oh as for painting the side moldings or whatever they are called you can just color code them with the service center and they will be a bit more shiny than the rest of the car so i had the guy do them with this chemical that puts the paint off a bit so that they look the same,

man please be careful with your car, i don't know why but i really loved this car and i wouldn't have been this sad if i had lost my arm or something

I knew about the Gpunto 120 and the Bravo Tjet 150hp months ago .. but I didn't like thier pricing ...

And technically the service and the dealer are not the best of the word so I am still 50/50 about purchasing another Fiat later on next year .

Man I am so so sorry .....

Well i just came back from the service center and after a long talk with the responsible engineer, it turns out that they could swap the whole right chassis part i think called the C pillar and the lower control arms and axles are gone( kabalen we ma2asat) and of course a front bumper and hood and a power steering assembly and a new shift linkage and a left engine mount because the engine moved from its place a bit and lots of other details so even if we will fix it it will take not less than 3 months :S and most of the spare parts are not available and will be ordered from the factory in torino or whatever so thats another story too untill they come :S so its in everybody's advantage except the insurance ofcorse to declare the car a total loss, but if there is no other way and we have to fix it, then i'm taking the engine out and putting another one in, maybe the fiat coupe 2.0 engine or an alfa romeo 1.6, it will need a bit of studying and research since its never been done but the head engineer got so excited that he offered to help me alot with anything i need from all the specs of every single bit in both my car and the donor one, so now i'm still waiting for the main dealer (Omatra) to send me a full payment reciept of everything that will be done in the car so we can know if it will be declared a total loss or it'll get fixed

and about the grande punto and the bravo i think they are not that badly priced, the grande at 140,000 and being a 3 door with all the options in the car(7 airbags, recaro seats, climatronic a/c, multifunction steering wheel, bluetooth, 17 inch rims, a subwoofer, half electrically reclining seats, and a 120hp engine) which are much more than you get in a standard golf 5 or an audi a3 here, but the fiat 500 is the one thats really pricey, it starts out as grande punto and thats with the standard stuff, if you want all the options it will be soooo pricey

my uncle bought me a Fiat 1.8 engine from Brazil which was originally in the Fiat Palio 1.8R , our shape but with the 1.8 Engine

Its in port said right now but I am going to send it back

I made some research and that engine is first of all crappy and totally incompatible with our palios

its not a FIRE engine family , its TORQUE which was an old engine cooperation between GM & Fiat and died years ago but they still like it in Brazil for some reason .. so fitting it in will require me almost to change everything under the damned hood

next are the numbers .. its a 8V engine so the hp is rated at 115 only
Considering the amount of PAIN I have to go thru to install it I think its a lost case.

Not to mention that its Flexfuel ( can use alcohol ) and I am pretty sure no one in Egypt will be able to mantain it ...

actually right now our safest bet is the 1.6 engine from the egyptian/turkish Sienna ... its 1.6 so the Taxes will still remain reasonable and has I think a 105 - 107 hp with 150 torque .
And u can almost buy any parts for it here from egypt without importing and exporting ..

107 hp are more than enough for me XD

which are not bad at all and I am almost 90% that they are from the Fire Family .

as for the car, never go for the 1.8 its not even an engine, there is actually one 1.8r here in egypt the 3dr version but with that engine its useless, so as for me if i'm fixing i would go for the fiat bravo 2.0 20v HGT 5 cylinder engine which is rated at 152hp but if it won't fit then i'll go for the 1.6 but don't which one do you mean the 1.6 siena which had 103hp because i had one of those but sold it a while ago it was a hell of a car with that engine and fire engines have a maximum of 1.4 litres and i won't go through all this fo a 1.4, but this is all easy, some research and its done but i can't make up my mind to fix or not to fix, because if i count the car as a total loss i'll get my money back from the insurance and i'll get a 96-00 civic EK hatch and just do an ls/vtec or whatever engine but i really loved my fiat and i hate to see it go like that, everyone at college knew me with his car and i was the only one with a palio and a bit tuned too but now it will be just another civic, i'm so confused

you know what i think the barchetta 1.8 could fit in my car too, my hood looks a bit better and its a 131 hp so should be a good starting point but the problem is this has never been done I have no reference what so ever

Yes I ment the 1.6 from ur Sienna - I think it has enough hp for our car and its gonna be very very cheap to tune and modify since its available in " 7erafyeen " bel dasta XD .

I once drove a 96 Honda Civic SiR - yeah its a great/fast ride .. but its very uncomfortable ( driving position of old japaneese cars suck ) and the interior really makes me sick .... our palios are not that good looking inside but they are miles ahead of a 9x Civic ..

plus no one can really tell ur ride if its an Ex/Vti/Si or Sir ... they all look the same ..
