any one has any idea on what protocol and what interface can you use on a fiat siena (= palio with 4 doors) 2000 2001 1.6 16v I have tried an elm327 with a 3 to 16 pin connector and torque SW, I see the light flashing but no comm with the ECU any body manage to read the ECU on those old cars? wrong interface? wrong SW?

Hi,
I don't know the Palio/Siena, but if the car needs a 3 pin adaptor a ELM 327 interface won't work neither will Torgue or any other non-Fiat specific software. You need to use a KL (KKL or VAG-COM) type interface something like this

and specialised software. I recommend Multiecuscan. Checking the vehicle list

it looks like you may have to pay the 50 euro registration fee to get much use depending on exactly what ECU is in your car. Try it before you pay the registration fee though.
